The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
- Support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence.
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and families to support pupil development.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching pupils with SEND, or a strong interest in specialist education.
- Can adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Has strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Is patient, resilient and passionate about inclusive education.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
