NextGen Teachers are proud to be working with a specialist SEN school in Bingley, who are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs, while enjoying the flexibility that supply work offers. You will play a vital role in helping students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties, to access education and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with a variety of special educational needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Support students with personal care where required
  • Help manage behaviour positively and effectively
  • Adapt to different school settings and student needs on a day-to-day basis

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work across different schools
  • The right to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
