We’re looking for a fantastic SEMH Teacher to join an incredible school in Banbury. You’ll be supporting pupils aged 5-18 years with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Complex Needs. This is a rewarding role where you’ll support students academically and personally within a very supportive and nurturing environment, working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to helping every young person reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEMH and complex needs.
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies and support individual behaviour plans.
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress, attainment and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals to support pupil outcomes.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to support engagement, development and achievement.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background.
- Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEMH and/or complex needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, consistent and resilient approach.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners and improving outcomes.
- Strong teamwork, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and ongoing professional development.
- Must hold a valid driver’s licence and have personal transport to travel to and from the school.
