1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Long term temporary opportunity with possibility of a permanent role
Location: Secondary School – Crawley
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Type: Ongoing / Temp to Perm
Pay: 100 – 130 per day – DOE
We\’re looking for a compassionate, confident, and proactive Teaching Assistant / LSA to support a bright and engaging pupil within a welcoming and supportive secondary school environment.
We are looking for someone who has a calm, flexible approach, and experience of boosting confidence and reducing anxiety. The successful candidate will be an excellent relationship builder and have proven ability of providing learning support either in a school setting or a relevant transferable position.
Your role will involve
- Providing consistent 1:1 teaching assistant support in lessons and in a quiet, structured workspace
- Helping to break down learning into smaller, achievable steps as an LSA
- Offering gentle encouragement and emotional reassurance throughout the day providing emotional continuity
- Communicating daily with parents, summarising progress and focus areas for home
- Collaborating with Teaching staff and the school SENDCo to adapt tasks and promote positive participation
