Nexter is an established specialist childcare recruitment agency based in Birstall WF17. Our West Yorkshire desk is mature, highly established, and fills dozens of nursery shifts every week. Alongside our local stronghold, we are actively expanding into South East London. We already have client relationships, candidate flow, and a dedicated field contact based on the ground in London—what we need now is an office-based sales and delivery consultant in Birstall to take ownership and turn London into our next major revenue stream. The Reality of the Role This is not an established desk where you sit back and manage incoming calls. It is an active build-and-deliver role. Your core objective is straightforward: take the London territory and grow it. You will be on the phone every day introducing Nexter to private day nurseries, floating available staff to cover emergency sickness, securing weekly bookings, and building your own lucrative client base. If you enjoy the hunt of winning new business, want clear visibility of your numbers, and prefer working in a small, focused office where your impact is rewarded directly with uncapped commission, this is your desk. Key Responsibilities * Outbound Client Acquisition: Proactively dialling private day nurseries across London to introduce our services, uncover staffing pain points, and secure trial bookings. * Proactive Candidate Floating: Calling nursery managers to speculatively market available, fully vetted Level 3 practitioners for upcoming sickness or maternity cover. * Shift Booking & Fulfilment: Taking urgent booking briefs, matching suitable practitioners, and confirming cover quickly and accurately. * Relationship Management: Converting one-off emergency shift covers into exclusive, regular weekly client accounts. What We Are Looking For * Proven Phone Sales / Business Development: 1+ years in outbound B2B sales, agency recruitment, telesales, or commercial account development. * Tenacity & Resilience: You understand that building a new desk requires 20-30+ outbound calls a day, thick skin, and persistence through rejection. * Early Years / Nursery Knowledge (Huge Advantage): We welcome applications from former Nursery Managers, Deputy Managers, or Room Leaders who know nursery ratios and want to pivot into a commercial sales career. * Transport & Location: Must live within reliable driving distance of Carr Mills, Birstall (WF17) with daily access to a vehicle. What We Offer * £27,000 – £35,000 basic salary (dependent on track record). * A transparent, uncapped monthly commission structure—earn directly on the gross profit you generate. * Additional dedicated on-call payments. * Free on-site parking at Carr Mills (avoiding city-centre traffic into Leeds!). * Direct support from the business directors—no red tape or corporate politics
