Requirements
The Reality of the Role: Supply work in Huddersfield is about being a versatile professional. You might be based in a vibrant community nursery in Deighton one day and a smaller, private setting in Newsome the next. Your role is to step in and immediately add value—assisting the permanent team with the EYFS curriculum, managing mealtime routines, and ensuring every child is engaged and safe. You manage your own availability via our portal, and we work to match you with local settings on the days you choose to work.
Qualified Tiers: Must hold a government-approved Level 2 or 3 in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, NNEB). Important Note: We cannot accept Health & Social Care or Teaching Assistant (TA) qualifications for our qualified practitioner rates.
Unqualified Tier: We welcome staff with other backgrounds (including TA or Social Care) who have worked extensively in a nursery setting to join our team as Unqualified Assistants.
The 2025 Standard: Under new statutory regulations, you must hold a Full Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate to be counted in ratios. If you don't have this, we can support you in finding a course, provided you are willing to complete the training.
Total Flexibility: You choose the days you work. Whether you need a full-schedule or just one or two days a week, we work around your lifestyle.
Premium Weekly Pay: We offer the highest agency rates in the region, with a transparent pay structure and a guaranteed salary review every April.
Work Close to Home: We prioritise "local-first" bookings, meaning less time spent commuting and more time in the communities that matter to you.
Diverse Experience: Build your skills by working in various settings—from high-energy city nurseries to quiet village preschools—without the burden of permanent paperwork.
Referral Rewards: Earn a £100 bonus for every qualified friend you bring into the squad once they hit their first 100 hours.
