We’re seeking a Junior Fund Accountant to support fund operations through accurate transaction processing, reliable record-keeping, and timely financial reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring the integrity of fund data, enabling informed decision-making for senior stakeholders and investors. You will be responsible for recording and reconciling fund transactions (including capital calls, distributions, and expenses), maintaining up-to-date accounting records, and supporting the preparation of financial reports and investor statements. The role also includes ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, assisting with audits by providing documentation and reconciliations, and handling administrative tasks in coordination with internal teams and external service providers. Working closely with senior fund accountants and fund managers, you will contribute to the smooth running of fund operations. Through your support of accurate reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency, this role helps safeguard investor confidence and underpins the organisation’s ability to scale, deploy capital effectively, and drive long-term growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and journal entries for multiple funds.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Liaise with external service providers for invoice and payment processing.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in audit preparation and coordination with fund administrators and auditors.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Contribute to the implementation of new accounting systems and process improvements.
- Respond to ad hoc queries from internal teams, such as Investor Relations and Fund Controllers.
- Participate in training and development initiatives to build technical expertise.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–2 years’ experience with private equity funds in a finance role.
- Pursuing or intending to pursue a qualification in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
