AI Platform Engineer - Cambridge
£55,000 - £65,000 DOE | Hybrid | Permanent

We're a growing technology company based in Cambridge, building AI-powered products and internal tooling. We're looking for an AI Platform Engineer to help design, build, and scale the infrastructure and systems that power our AI/LLM-driven applications.

The Role:
/n
/n
- Design and build scalable back-end services and APIs to support AI/LLM-powered features
/n
- Develop and maintain infrastructure for deploying, monitoring, and scaling AI models in production
/n
- Integrate cloud and/or locally hosted LLMs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, open-source models) into live products
/n
- Build RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and prompt/conversation systems
/n
- Collaborate with data, product, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
/n
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability for AI-driven services
/n
- Own the full lifecycle: experimentation, prototyping, and production deployment
/n

What We're Looking For:
/n
/n
- Strong commercial experience with Python and/or Java, plus cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
/n
- Hands-on experience with LLM-based application development (RAG, agents, copilots)
/n
- Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering
/n
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) a plus
/n
- Strong understanding of scalable, production-grade system design
/n
- Comfortable working across experimentation and live deployment environments
/n
