About Our Client
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a market-leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, delivering exceptional IT support and project services to a diverse portfolio of customers. As they continue to grow, our client is looking for an IT Field Engineer to join their team, providing hands-on technical support and helping deliver network and infrastructure projects across their customer base.
The Role
As an IT Field Engineer, you'll split your time between on-site customer visits and remote support, with a strong focus on network installations and infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys being out on the road, working directly with customers, and getting stuck into technical projects as well as day-to-day support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to a portfolio of our client's customers
- Travel to customer sites to install, configure, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls (primarily Cisco and Fortinet)
- Support the delivery of network infrastructure projects, focusing on on-site installation, configuration, and handover
