The Opportunity
We're working with a growing and customer-focused IT provider looking to add an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to their technical team based in Aylesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong 1st/2nd Line experience who enjoys a varied role combining remote support, onsite client interaction, and project exposure. You'll be joining a collaborative environment where customer service and technical delivery are equally valued, supporting a broad client base across Microsoft environments and modern cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Providing 1st and 2nd Line technical support to a range of users and clients
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Supporting Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
- Managing users through Active Directory and Azure/Entra ID
- Assisting with laptop/desktop builds, installations, and deployments
- Escalating complex issues where required while maintaining ownership throughout
- Supporting basic networking issues including switches, routers, and Wi-Fi connectivity
- Participating in occasional client site visits for support and project work
- Maintaining accurate ticket updates and documentation within the service desk system
- Delivering excellent customer service and communication at all levels
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience within a 1st/2nd Line Support or IT Support Engineer position
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows environments
- Experience supporting: Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, Windows 10/11, Basic networking
- Experience working within an MSP or fast-paced support environment is highly desirable
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to occasional site visits
