We're looking for a talented Data Scientist to join a growing data and analytics team, helping turn complex datasets into meaningful insights and predictive solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning and statistical models to solve business problems.
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and opportunities.
- Use Python and SQL to extract, manipulate and analyse data.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering.
- Build predictive models and evaluate their performance.
- Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure reliable and scalable data pipelines.
- Translate technical findings into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Present insights and model outputs to senior business stakeholders.
- Continuously improve existing models, processes and analytical approaches.
- Contribute to the development of best practices across the wider data function.
About You
We're looking for someone with approximately 2-3 years' commercial Data Science experience who can take ownership of projects and confidently work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll ideally have:
- Strong commercial experience as a Data Scientist.
- Excellent Python skills.
- Strong SQL experience.
- Solid understanding of machine learning and statistical modelling.
- Experience working with predictive modelling techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience communicating technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or another STEM-related discipline.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Experience with Pandas, NumPy and Scikit-learn.
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with Git/version control.
