Overview
An IT department within a large, multi-site organisation is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to take ownership of its ServiceNow platform and lead development, automation, and optimisation.
This is a hands-on technical role with strategic influence, focused on modernising IT service delivery and digitising business processes using ServiceNow and JavaScript-driven customisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead and subject-matter expert for the ServiceNow platform
- Design, build, and maintain workflows, automations, and service catalogue items
- Develop and customise ServiceNow using JavaScript (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies)
- Own platform administration including upgrades, security, performance, and technical debt
- Build and maintain REST API integrations with systems such as Entra ID and HR platforms
- Deliver joiner, mover, and leaver automation and cross-system data flows
- Translate IT and business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Produce clear technical documentation and guidance as part of delivery
