Are you an experienced D365 F&O Application Engineer who enjoys turning business problems into working solutions? Do you have hands-on experience in logistics or manufacturing and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders? If so, we want to hear from you.
The role
You will own the day-to-day configuration, support and continuous improvement of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations across the business. Working closely with business users, IT and third-party vendors you will translate requirements into functional solutions, lead testing and change activity, and ensure the platform drives efficient, scalable processes.
This is a hybrid role based in Leeds, with an expectation to be on site three days per week to lead workshops, support UAT, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
Configure, support and enhance D365 F&O modules (Supply Chain, Inventory, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Finance as required).
Run requirement workshops, produce functional specifications and translate business needs into technical requirements.
Lead SIT/UAT activities and coordinate deployments, change control and release management.
Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis and deliver practical fixes or workarounds.
Manage integrations (APIs/EDI) and data migration tasks in collaboration with technical teams.
Produce clear user guides, process documentation and training materials.
Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders – explaining technical concepts in plain English.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise business processes and system usage.
Skills & experience (essential)
Proven experience working with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (application/functional focus).
Strong understanding of logistics or manufacturing business processes (warehouse, inventory, production planning) Ideally.
Demonstrable experience gathering requirements, writing functional specs and running UAT.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to explain technical issues to non-technical users and lead stakeholder workshops.
Experience supporting integrations (APIs, EDI) and data migration processes.
