We are a dynamic managed-connectivity services provider specialising in fast, reliable, resilient and secure networking solutions. We deliver network services across a variety of sectors - often to blue-chip clients - using a mix of backhaul technologies such as wireless, fixed line, satellite and mobile connectivity. Alongside this, we develop in-house software and data solutions, offering a blend of networking and technology exposure.
As a Network Engineer, you will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of customer network infrastructure. Acting as a technical liaison between clients and the internal engineering team, you will help deliver network rollouts, provide ongoing support, and ensure network performance and security. You will also contribute to large-scale customer and internal network projects and support technical knowledge sharing within the team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide network support: troubleshoot and resolve network issues including connectivity, hardware, and software faults.
- Assist in installation and configuration of enterprise-level network equipment - routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, etc.
- Monitor network performance and recommend optimisations.
- Help implement and maintain network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection, etc.).
- Perform regular maintenance: firmware updates, patching, backups to ensure network availability and reliability.
- Maintain accurate documentation: network configurations, diagrams, process notes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on project planning and implementation.
- Participate in delivery of larger network projects - from design through implementation, test and handover.
- Assist with training and mentoring more junior team members.
- Some previous experience in network support or engineering.
- Solid understanding of core networking principles: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, routing/switching.
- Familiarity with enterprise-grade network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
- Basic understanding or interest in network security practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills - able to liaise with clients and collaborate with colleagues.
