Manchester – Hybrid (3 days per week in office)
On behalf of our client in the IT industry, we are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting a data tidy-up and improvement project. This role is well suited to a graduate or early-career data professional with the right exposure who enjoys working on data quality, structure and maintenance rather than heavy analysis or stakeholder presentations.
The role
- Cleaning, structuring and maintaining existing datasets
- Writing and updating SQL queries to improve data accuracy and consistency
- Updating and maintaining Power BI dashboards (no presenting required)
- Supporting data pipelines and integrations (exposure to Azure Data Factory is desirable)
- Improving data quality, documentation and internal processes
What we’re looking for
- Experience with SQL (commercial, placement, internship or university projects considered)
- Hands-on experience using Power BI
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory is beneficial but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach
- Comfortable working on data clean-up, validation and maintenance tasks
- Not analysing data or presenting
