We are working with an established and growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) looking for an IT Support Technician to join its technical team in Ipswich.
The Role
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to a range of business customers, working from the office with occasional travel to customer sites across Suffolk.
- Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support via helpdesk and on-site visits.
- Troubleshooting Windows desktop environments and Microsoft 365.
- Resolving basic networking issues.
- Assisting with IT projects, upgrades and deployments.
- Supporting hardware and software installations.
- Developing your knowledge of servers, backups and IT security.
- Working collaboratively with the wider technical team.
- Participating in occasional out-of-hours support when required.
About You
- 2+ years' experience in an IT support role.
- Good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
- Understanding of basic networking.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous MSP experience, Microsoft certifications or an IT apprenticeship would be beneficial but are not essential.
Essential Requirement
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as occasional travel to customer sites across Suffolk is required.
