Software Business Analyst Location: Horsham (Hybrid - on-site initially) Salary: From £30-£40,000 DOE

Due to continued growth and investment in internal systems, they are looking to appoint a Software Business Analyst to support a range of business-critical projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and fast-paced SME environment where you'll play a key role in bridging the gap between business operations and technical delivery teams.

The Role

As a Software Business Analyst, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, improve processes, and support the successful delivery of software and systems projects. Responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering, documenting and validating business requirements
  • Translating business needs into user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders across multiple departments
  • Identifying process improvement and automation opportunities
  • Supporting backlog management, prioritisation and UAT activities
  • Working alongside development teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements
  • Producing process maps, workflows, documentation and decision logs
  • Supporting systems integrations and data flow initiatives across the wider business

Skills & Experience

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or similar role
  • Experience working across software, systems or digital transformation projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Agile or hybrid software delivery methodologies
  • Experience creating user stories, process maps and business documentation
  • Exposure to SQL, data management or reporting tools
  • An understanding of APIs, systems integrations and cloud-based platforms
  • Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps or similar project management tools
