We’re looking for a skilled Senior Systems Support Engineer to join a growing technical team supporting a diverse range of modern client environments. This is a hands-on, third-line role where you’ll work with the latest cloud, security, and infrastructure technologies while playing a key part in maintaining high availability and driving technical improvements. You’ll be joining a collaborative environment that values proactive problem-solving, automation, and continuous improvement—ideal for someone who enjoys getting stuck into complex issues and making a real impact.
You’ll gain exposure to a wide and modern tech stack, including:
- Microsoft Cloud & Productivity: Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
- Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Virtualisation: VMware and Hyper-V
- Security & Access: MDR/EDR, SASE, Privileged Access Management (PAM), password vaulting
- Core Infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Networking: General troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Backup & Recovery: Veeam and enterprise-grade backup solutions
Responsibilities:
- Acting as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
- Troubleshooting and resolving incidents across cloud, virtualisation, and on-prem environments
- Managing upgrades, patching, and system improvements in line with best practice
- Supporting and enhancing security controls and responding to incidents
- Delivering and maintaining robust backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Working closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve issues efficiently
- Mentoring junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge
- Keeping clear and detailed documentation throughout the support lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in a 3rd line or senior support role
- Solid technical knowledge across Microsoft cloud technologies, virtualisation, and infrastructure
- Experience with security tools and modern IT environments
- A proactive mindset with a focus on automation and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to manage priorities and perform well under pressure
