Role: 3rd Line Engineer
Location: Reigate
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Setup: Hybrid (2 days from home)
We're recruiting for an established technology services business looking to add an experienced Senior Technical Support Specialist to its growing team.
This is a senior technical position acting as a key escalation point for complex infrastructure, cloud, networking and security issues, while supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers.
The role
* Act as the highest technical escalation point for complex support incidents
* Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and Windows Server
* Support networking, firewalls, VPNs and security solutions
* Carry out root cause analysis and implement permanent technical fixes
* Support VMware, Hyper-V and backup environments
* Work directly with customers to resolve business-critical technical issues
* Mentor and provide technical guidance to 1st and 2nd Line Engineers
* Recommend improvements to customers' IT environments
* Work alongside Account Management and Professional Services on solution design and delivery
What we're looking for
* 5+ years' IT support experience, ideally within an MSP
* Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure administration experience
* Excellent networking and security troubleshooting skills
* Strong Windows Server, VMware and/or Hyper-V knowledge
* Experience supporting SME customers
* Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and C-suite contacts
* Microsoft, CompTIA or ITIL certifications would be advantageous
* Full UK driving licence required
Package
* £50,000 - £55,000 basic salary
* Hybrid working: 3 days office / 2 days remote
