About the Role: Our client, a growing business based in Reading, is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their data and analytics team. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining reporting solutions that give the business clear visibility over performance, working closely with stakeholders across departments to turn data into actionable insight. This is a strong opportunity for an analyst with solid BI tooling and SQL experience who wants to take ownership of reporting infrastructure and play a key role in shaping data-driven decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI (or similar BI tools)
  • Write and optimise complex SQL queries to extract, transform and model data
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain data models to support scalable, reusable reporting
  • Identify trends, patterns and opportunities within data to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and governance across reporting outputs
  • Support the wider data team with ETL processes and data pipeline maintenance
  • Document reporting processes, data definitions and BI architecture

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analyst or similar role
  • Strong SQL skills, including experience writing complex queries and stored procedures
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau or a similar BI platform
  • Experience building data models (star schema, dimensional modelling) - desirable
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and processes
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, SSIS or similar - desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions
  • Degree in a numerate or technical discipline, or equivalent experience
