About the Role:
Our client, a growing business based in Milton Keynes, is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join their data team. You'll support the collection, cleaning and analysis of data to help inform business decisions, working closely with senior analysts and stakeholders across the business to deliver clear, actionable insights.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their data career, ideally with some exposure to SQL, Excel or a BI tool, who's looking to build hands-on experience within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean and organise data from multiple internal sources
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI or Excel
- Support senior analysts with ad-hoc data requests and analysis
- Write and run basic SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
- Help identify trends, patterns and anomalies in data sets
- Present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Maintain data quality and integrity across reporting processes
- Support the documentation of data processes and definitions
Key Skills & Experience:
- Degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience
- Basic working knowledge of SQL
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Exposure to a BI/visualisation tool (Power BI, Tableau) - desirable
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills, able to explain data clearly to non-technical audiences
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a data-focused role
