What you’ll be doing:

- Lead generative and evaluative research across digital and hardware products
- Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative studies, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, focus groups and diary studies
- Collaborate closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, Sales and Marketing to embed research throughout the development cycle
- Collaborate with Hardware and Electrical teams to collect and manage product teardown analysis, image quality and other technical analysis reports
- Translate complex research findings into clear, actionable insights
- Build and maintain research documentation, processes, and a participant panel
- Competitive analysis of competitors, report regional reviews, and product sentiment across all mediums.
- Present research findings through reports, storytelling, and workshops with key stakeholders
- Use social media to monitor feedback, comments and build a research panel using social media platforms.
- Present findings to stakeholders and influence product and business decisions with evidence-backed insights
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in UX research, ideally within hardware/connected products
- Experience running Design Thinking Experimentation – Identifying risky assumptions, forming testable hypotheses, using metrics, running “in-market” experiments
- Strong knowledge of user research methods, including interviews, usability testing (moderated and unmoderated), survey design, and behavioural analysis
- Synthesising various data sources, like trends, customer insight, app data, sales data, etc.
- Proven experience in advocating for user research, helping teams understand and act on participant needs and behaviours
- Knowledge of competitive analysis and the ability to assess market trends and product sentiment
- Experience leveraging social media platforms for user engagement, feedback monitoring, and participant recruitment
- Experience using research tools and platforms (e.g. for recruitment, testing, analysis, and documentation)
