Job Description
While you’ll have heard our name, there’s a lot you probably don’t know about NEXT. Like how we facilitate eCommerce for numerous other brands that don’t have the scale and know-how we do. And that after over 40 years, we’re growing faster than ever.
About the role
Technology drives what we do. Plain and simple. As we’re going through a huge change as a business, we need a solid team with us who are committed to driving our tech forward.
As a Placement Test Analyst, you’ll be an important part of this. Your focus will be on joining our growing eCommerce team and learning how to play a crucial role in helping us drive forward in a fast-moving retail environment. You\\\’ll work on various projects across our eCommerce platform, helping to produce test plans and evolve strategies while assisting with manual and automated tests.
You\\\’ll be part of a team that interprets functional specifications for new features. You\\\’ll proactively liaise with the agile team and key business users during testing, helping to provide timely updates, status reports, and alerting them of potential issues. You\\\’ll be keen to learn about manual and automated testing, as well as a range of test strategies across our web-based and mobile application.
You\\\’ll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office. A fast-paced, encouraging, and supportive environment in which everyone brings an energy and a commitment to delivering for our customers and their own careers.
Bring your energy. Play to your strengths. Make things bigger and better than before. Be Brave Be You Be NEXT.
About you
- On track for a 2:1 or higher in your STEM degree, or studying a Master\\\’s degree (STEM) that includes a 12-month placement.
- You have an exceptional eye for detail and a systematic, logical approach to problem-solving. Your drive to find and diagnose issues ensures our products meet high standards of quality.
- You\’re naturally curious, with a desire to understand how things work and, more importantly, how they might break. This leads you to explore edge cases and find solutions to even the most complex problems.
- You can clearly and professionally articulate findings to both technical and non-technical team members, and you build strong working relationships that foster effective teamwork.
Ultimately, we\\\’re looking for someone with the right attitude, aptitude, and ambition to thrive. If you are self-motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about building a great career – we want to hear from you.
