About the Role: Next creates most of its systems in-house and is growing quickly. Our eCommerce websites and apps serve over 6 million active customers across 70+ international markets, with a focus on delivering a personalised shopping experience across web and mobile platforms. You will join one of the largest QA teams in the country, comprising Manual and Automation Testers, Developers and Product Development Managers, and work across development, testing, support, and architecture to maintain fast delivery and quality.
We\’re looking for a skilled Senior Test Analyst (Automation) to join our growing eCommerce team and play a crucial role in a fast-moving retail environment. You’ll use extensive expertise in both manual and automated testing to implement comprehensive test strategies across our web and mobile applications.
In this role, you\’ll work on various projects across our eCommerce platform, helping to drive the department forward. Using your deep knowledge of automation, you\’ll be responsible for:
- Optimising automation frameworks and working with various tools and architectures.
- Writing automated tests, including component and integration tests.
- Driving continuous improvement of our testing scripts to ensure optimal coverage.
- Working with other disciplines, including functional, non-functional, security, and API testing.
About you:
You\’re a proactive and collaborative Senior Test Analyst with a strong background in automation. You\’re a team player who is passionate about sharing knowledge and evaluating emerging technologies to add value to our platform.
Required Experience:
- Automation Expertise: Extensive experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, C#, NUnit, Playwright, Cypress, and ReqnRoll. We also welcome experience with other programming languages like Java or Python.
- Frameworks & Architectures: Proven experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks for Web, APIs, and Microservices.
- Testing Skills: Strong understanding of how to assess test coverage with automated tools and experience creating and maintaining automated C# test suites. Experience with BI or database testing is a significant advantage.
- Agile & CI/CD: A solid understanding of Agile techniques like BDD and TDD. Experience with CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
- Technical Foundation: A strong background in automation is required, with a preference for candidates from a coding/SDET background who can demonstrate a deep understanding of core programming fundamentals.
Technical Skills:
- Languages & Frameworks: C#, .NET, Appium, Gherkin, Cucumber, Rest Assured
- Databases: MS SQL
- DevOps: Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD
- Methodologies: ISTQB/ISEB, BDD
