About the Role:

  • Assist with trend, market and competitor research to help shape seasonal product range and new product ideas.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Design to create seasonal briefs, aligning trend forecasting with commercial gap analysis.
  • Oversee the end to end product development process, from initial concept through to online launch and in store display.
  • Liaise with our 3rd party licensees on product specifications, sampling, lead times and minimum order quantities.
  • Manage and track product samples, including approvals, testing requirements and the sample sign off process.
  • Work closely with the Merchandising, Buying, Quality, Technical and Packaging teams to develop a commercial range and ensure products meet costing, compliance and brand standards.
  • Analyse sales performance to impact trade reactions and inform future range builds and developments.
  • Support showroom and sign off set up and internal presentations.
  • Seasonal travel to Leicester for development and sign off meetings.
  • Travel at least once a season within the UK and EU for supplier meetings and trade fairs, with potential for annual Far East travel.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a genuine passion for homeware, interiors, and design, complemented by a keen eye for emerging trends, materials, and colour palettes. The ideal applicant will bring proven professional experience in product development, specifically within the lighting and homewares sectors, and have a track record of managing products from initial concept through to final launch.

As a proactive problem-solver, you should be capable of rapidly adapting technical specifications and timelines in response to manufacturing or design shifts. We value a collaborative mindset and are seeking someone who can communicate effectively across design and sourcing teams while remaining confident when presenting ranges and category strategies to key stakeholders.
