Performance & Absence Analyst role at Next. Based at our E3 Warehouse, South Elmsall. Permanent opportunity, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday shift. Starting from £12.94 per hour (Circa £27,000 per annum). Location: South Elmsall, Pontefract, UK.

About The Role

We are looking for a Performance & Absence Analyst to collate and report on data across all departments in Next Distribution. Reporting to the Performance & Absence Compliance Manager, you will design and implement solutions to monitor, track and report on key performance and absence measures.

Responsibilities

  • Create triggers for absence, performance and error management across NDL, hold weekly conversations with relevant stakeholders for each site & HR ensuring compliance.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries relating to performance, absence and error management and implement solutions.
  • Maintain performance data for agency team players and determine which team members should be offered positions within Next.
  • Compile and maintain training hours data for review of opportunities for improvement.
  • Review and report on team member shift conformance.
  • Compile the weekly Optimisation pack (performance and absence by site, opportunities for improvement in hours usage across sites, holiday usage, long-term sickness, timecard compliance, PWW compliance).
  • Automate tasks with formulas, queries or scripts to reduce manual work.
  • Provide senior stakeholders with data and analytical insights to support key decisions across the business.
  • Evaluate team members in probation and provide insights for appropriate actions.
  • Engage with stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of warehouse management policies for operatives.
  • Enhance analysis and reporting of current people data to support decision making around people initiatives.
  • Analyse Oracle reports to recognise errors and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create Talent Snapshot dashboard reports with HR.
  • Support managers & HR with ad hoc data for investigations.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload and meet tight timescales.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good personal time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to critically analyse data and provide recommendations to support senior management.
  • Technical skills with datasets across different sources and formats; data analysis experience.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence packages and software (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) and SQL reporting tools.
  • Calm under pressure and able to work to short deadlines.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for innovation; focused on continuous learning and growth.
  • Strong data visualisation skills to present trends and KPIs for decision makers.
  • Experience with databases and data analysis; previous BI and data analysis experience.
  • Great work ethic and a motivated team player attitude.
