About the role:
At NEXT we are looking for a Fashion and Home Brands Marketing & PR Officer to join our marketing team at our brand new fully managed office in Alfred Place. This is a 12 month fixed term position covering maternity leave. The role involves working closely with the Fashion and Home Brands at NEXT marketing team to coordinate and implement marketing strategies that enhance awareness and boost sales for the brands at NEXT product lines. The role will also support the existing PR team in PR initiatives for brands, which includes event planning and participation, press and influencer relations, product coordination, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Please note this a 12 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Home Brands Marketing Account Management -
- Support the Senior Brand PR & Influencer Officer in managing the Home License brands accounts and relationships, ensuring timely updates, regular reporting of marketing activity / support, as well as close collaboration on joint initiatives.
- In partnership with the Senior Brand PR & Influencer Officer, stay up to date on upcoming brand and range launches; co-ordinate cross-channel meetings with key internal stakeholders and brand partners.
- Support in the co-ordination and delivery of marketing activation projects, from concept through to execution and delivery, followed by full reporting.
- Help coordinate in-store activations and support the creation of POS and printed materials for Home Brands.
- Press Materials - Working closely with the Senior Brand PR & Influencer Officer and Brand PR & Influencer Officer, Product and Design teams to keep fully abreast of the latest home brand launches, product launches and trends to ensure timely promotion to Press. Support in the creation of e-lookbooks / e-alerts / press releases to raise awareness and showcase new products and trending products / themes.
- Driving Coverage - Support in ensuring continual growth of coverage and consumer awareness by using existing proven methods as well as new and exciting methods.
- Paid Influencer Partnerships - As and when required, support in project managing smaller scale influencer campaigns with a set budget with the support of the Senior Brand PR & Influencer Officer. Provide feedback to the Senior Brand PR & Influencer Officer on the content influencers are creating. Be proactive in thinking about and contributing your own ideas for working with influencers to promote products
- Product Coordination & Gifting - Support in stock checking products for influencer send outs, assist in Mainframe ordering of stock to influencers and mailers. Project managing more bespoke sendouts to VIP influencers via our branded mailers, including liaison with graphics to create bespoke boxes, selecting, packing and sending out mailers.
- Events Planning - Support in planning and managing smaller scale events when required, with support of senior officers. Contribute ideas around activations and staging of the event. Organise goodie bags and graphics. Help to send out invites and gather attendees requirements. Researching and booking activations for events.
- Product Coordination - Support in liaising with the sample coordinators and managing product orders via Mainframe to ensure we get everything on our list for press days and events. Managing the logistics of product and props for the events arriving at the correct times.
- Reporting - Support inputting coverage / data into PR coverage excel & reporting deck daily, using Meltwater & Readly to ensure an accurate recording of all coverage. Share regular performance updates with the Senior Brand PR & Influencer Officer as well as in team meetings, using the findings/insight to drive innovation.
- Experience in a marketing, PR, or communications role (in-house or agency)
- Proven experience supporting PR campaigns, events, and influencer partnerships
- Understanding of digital media, social trends, and brand messaging
- Communicates effortlessly, appropriately and accurately with all levels of seniority
- Will use and apply new ideas, trends and information
- Recognises and resolves problems which will have a significant effect on own function and other areas.
- Demonstrates commitment to colleagues and to goals and objectives at individual, departmental and organisational level
- Maintains focus on goals and direction, adapting and changing approach as required
