The role:
The Loss Prevention team plays a pivotal role in our large scale distribution operation. Our Loss Prevention Officers have a wide range of exciting responsibilities that they carry out in their day-to-day role. First and foremost, you will play a key role in working with the team to ensure warehouse security at all times. With our sites working 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, it is our highest priority to ensure the safety and protection of our sites, people, stock and vehicles.
You will be the first point of contact for staff, visitors and contractors, whilst monitoring access to the site for deliveries and vehicle loads in order to keep stock loss to a minimum.
This varied role will include monitoring CCTV, fire and intruder alarm systems, conducting searches of people and vehicles in order to deter acts of theft and therefore preventing loss of stock. In turn, as a Loss Prevention Officer, you may have to deal with any incidents in a calm, professional manner and complete detailed reports and statements. You will report to your Loss Prevention Manager, and will be responsible for efficiently communicating any security risks and incidents to them.
About you:
We are looking for flexible and enthusiastic individuals to join our Loss Prevention team. Whilst being a team player, you will have excellent communication skills with a drive to build and maintain great working relationships with visitors, management and employees.
You will demonstrate a can-do attitude and your initiative in this fast-paced warehouse environment and will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and when dealing with potentially difficult situations involving conflict.
You must be educated to a minimum level of GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, with a sound knowledge of Word, Excel and Google suites.
A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for this post and candidates must be prepared to become First Aid trained as required.
