We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Photographer to lead our e-commerce cutout team of Fashion and Homeware photographers across four key studio locations. This is a multisite role with a base at Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire, offering a starting salary of £35,362.
What You'll Take On
This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on leadership role leading, managing, and inspiring multi‑site photography teams, including in‑house staff and freelancers, across the Fashion and Homeware categories. You will be responsible for driving and maintaining the highest standards of photographic quality, output, and consistency across all four locations. A major part of your remit is the technical and creative development of our photographers, designing and delivering robust training that includes regular workshops, 1‑to‑1 coaching, and professional, empathetic performance feedback. You will also be expected to test new projects and work in line with the Creative Lead to ensure all content is aligned with brand principles and creative direction. Operationally, you will act as the primary technical expert for the teams, providing support on everything from advanced lighting and camera issues to software and internal systems. You will be responsible for tracking, analysing, and reporting on key performance indicators and implementing improvement plans as needed. Beyond day‑to‑day operations, you will manage and develop your direct reports, conducting regular performance reviews and supporting their career progression. Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients, your manager, senior management, creative teams, and other studio departments is vital. The role also requires you to stay ahead of industry trends and new technologies, including AI and video, to ensure NEXT's photography remains innovative and efficient. Please submit a supporting portfolio or website when applying.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in a senior photography or studio management role, overseeing large teams.
- Essential experience in high‑volume e‑commerce and high‑end creative/advertising photography within Fashion and/or Homeware.
- Expert‑level portfolio demonstrating advanced lighting, composition, and post‑production skills.
- Expert knowledge of Capture One and Adobe Suite.
- Expertise with Profoto and continuous lighting, and strong knowledge of Canon camera systems.
- A natural leader and mentor with a passion for training and demonstrable experience in developing photographers' skills through workshops and coaching.
- Strong operational and analytical skills, with experience managing and reporting on KPIs (speed, cost, quality).
- Proven experience with video capture and production processes, and a keen interest in emerging technologies, including AI.
- A full, clean UK driving licence and the willingness to travel regularly between all four sites (Elmsall, Leicester, Leighton Buzzard, and Premier Park).
- Exemplary attention to detail.
