What you’ll take on:
- Own the reconciliation process for monthly balance sheets, including net pay, taxes, and benefits, to ensure accurate reporting for the main finance department.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies by collaborating with different departments and posting necessary journal entries.
- Partner with external stakeholders, such as government agencies and benefit providers, to verify payroll data and ensure internal records align with third‑party information.
- Support audit preparation by providing reconciled data and clear explanations for both internal and external payroll audits.
- Provide meaningful insights for management by generating and analysing reports on payroll accuracy and trends.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience working within a busy Finance or Payroll environment.
- A strong numerical mindset with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to ask the right questions and listen actively to support the team.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A solid understanding of statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and Student Loans.
