We are looking for a proactive Nursery Administrator to lead administrative operations in our onsite Nursery at the Leicestershire Head Office, which caters to over 200 children and is staffed by 84 professionals. Standard working hours are Monday‑Friday, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Full‑time availability (9:00 am – 6:00 pm) is required during the first month for induction and training.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain nursery software systems, ensuring staff and children files are accurate and up to date.
  • Serve as first point of contact for calls and visitors, manage the internal intranet site and produce high‑quality marketing and onboarding documents.
  • Manage monthly invoicing for parents, liaise with payroll and oversee government funding and local authority reporting.
  • Organise nursery tours, open days, manage stationery budgets and order weekly consumables.
  • Work closely with the team on ad‑hoc requests, including coordination of nursery pets.

Qualifications

  • Proven background in an administrative role with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Excel.
  • Understanding of GDPR regulations and confidentiality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to engage professionally with internal stakeholders and external parents.
  • Self‑starter who can plan and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Previous experience in an Early Years environment or knowledge of safeguarding practices is highly beneficial.
