As the Team Leader for Security Remediation, you will play a vital part in safeguarding Next Technology. Your primary mission is to ensure the security, stability and peak performance of our infrastructure across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. Working closely with our IT Security teams, you will provide a resilient foundation for the entire business, tackling everything from proactive vendor patching to reactive responses and third-party audits. We are dedicated to your growth and will support you in a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of up to 10 technical engineers, providing the coaching and feedback they need to thrive together.
- Drive remediation by ensuring all assets are up to date and addressing vulnerabilities promptly to make an impact.
- Manage operational standards through proactive monitoring to resolve issues before they affect our services.
- Collaborate across the business with stakeholders and vendors to prioritise infrastructure needs and execute essential upgrades.
- Oversee estate health by managing certificates and maintaining accurate technical documentation.
- Support major incidents by leading troubleshooting efforts to ensure timely service restoration when it matters most.
- Foster a positive culture through daily stand-ups and regular one-to-one meetings, ensuring the team remains aligned and motivated.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and the ability to delegate effectively while maintaining an ego-free team environment.
- Strong technical foundations in core infrastructure and a conceptual understanding of cloud technologies and network architecture.
- Operational expertise in ITIL processes, specifically regarding change, incident, and problem management.
- A problem-solving mindset that allows you to find innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Clear communication skills to act as a point of escalation and translate complex issues for everyone.
- Organisational discipline with a keen eye for detail when managing infrastructure capacity and budgets.
