We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Android Mobile App Developer to join our dynamic product development team here at NEXT. If you’re passionate about crafting beautiful, high-performance, and modern Android applications using Kotlin and the cutting‑edge Jetpack Compose framework, we want to hear from you!

As an Android Developer specialising in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and maintenance of our Android mobile application. You will work closely with product owners, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to deliver a seamless and engaging user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build advanced Android applications using Kotlin.
  • Develop modern, declarative UIs using Jetpack Compose.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance and stability.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
  • Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code robustness.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Professional experience in Android development.
  • Deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, etc.).
  • Proven hands‑on experience developing production‑ready applications with Jetpack Compose.
  • Strong understanding of the Android lifecycle, asynchronous programming, and dependency injection (e.g., Koin, Hilt).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services.
  • Proficiency with version control tools, specifically Git.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with Room, Coroutines, and Flow.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices on Android.
