About the Role

Are you the type of person that would be excited to work creatively to ensure the best product photography for the Next Womenswear clothing ranges is in place? If so, keep reading as this could be the perfect opportunity for you. This role is to cover maternity and needs someone quick to learn and eager to show a keen eye for fashion and style trends, an enthusiasm for online retail, balancing both the creative and commercial whilst having a positive approach. You will need to be someone who can see the bigger picture and stay focused on detail at the same time, keeping the product and brand direction at the heart of everything we do.

In a nutshell:

  • You’ll be involved in the planning and styling for all of our Womenswear online shoots.
  • Delivering creative, forward thinking outfit ideas along with model and hair and make-up briefs, ensuring that there is an inspiring, and engaging shopping experience for our online customer.

The day to day:

  • Work closely with the Online Assistant Stylist and Online Product Manager to plan and finalise photography for all Next Womenswear clothing ranges (across all shoot levels).
  • Have a strong understanding of fashion, lifestyle and social media trends with an interest in art and design.
  • Collaborate with design and buying to translate the season/product direction to final photography in line with the brand direction.
  • Work alongside clothing team/buyers and understand their key messages to incorporate into the womenswear outfits and planning - have styling rooms ready and up to date inline with season.
  • Research fashion, styling, street style and influencer trends.
  • Research new talent and models.
  • Work to processes that ensure product imagery is shown correctly on the live site.
  • Create clear photo shoot briefs to communicate the range and shoot requirements to the Art Directors/Studios.
  • Assist with styling across clothing product in line with the product image direction and reflecting the latest seasons trends.
  • Work closely with womens coordination team on all photoshoot processes. Ensure product details, styling direction are translated to shoot documents clearly.
  • Edit photoshoot imagery in line with the creative brief and photography requirements.
  • Liaise with womenswear clothing ecommerce teams to communicate the seasons key trend and product messages.
  • Collaborate with the photo studio to develop both worn model and still life photography that can be used for both selling and marketing purposes.
  • Liaise with buying teams to ensure accurate sample handover for photography deadlines.
  • Assist on special projects and internal presentations which require up to date product imagery.

About You

You are someone who loves fashion, showing a natural enthusiasm to explore new trends in lifestyle, art, design and social media. You have a keen eye to identify new and emerging fashion and image trends. Sharing your ideas and identifying new opportunities to strengthen the product imagery.

You are organised and can effectively manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks, often managing multiple deadlines across different projects. Being a great communicator, you will build excellent relationships both internally and externally.

You thrive in a fast paced, busy environment and can be flexible to adapt and react when needed. Showing a strong ability to see the bigger picture on projects but never losing sight of the detail in everything you do. Bringing an open minded and thoughtful approach to your work.

Confident in decision making, you are able to balance the creative and commercial with a positive approach. You are forward thinking and proactive when approaching projects and always keep the product and brand direction central in your process.

Likely to be degree level educated with a love of design and fashion, as well as good knowledge of online fashion markets and emerging styling/imagery trends.

Good understanding of design software, Adobe Creative Suite and competent on a Mac.
