The Role: As our new Assistant Designer for Girls Woven Bottoms, you’ll be the creative force behind skirts, trousers, shorts and other girls’ woven bottoms.
What You’ll Take On:
- Support the design vision by identifying key fabric trends, colours and silhouettes for the girlswear woven market.
- Design with agility by creating store‑ready sketches that balance high‑street speed with the high‑quality Next aesthetic.
- Produce technical 2D CADs and packs, ensuring pocket, fastener and trim details are accurate for global suppliers.
- Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising and Tech teams to ensure designs are commercially viable, durable and meet price points.
- Attend inspirational trend trips and factory visits to scout fashion hubs and confirm production quality.
- Own the sampling process, reviewing prototypes for fit and aesthetics.
