Next is a FTSE-100 retail company with a thriving consumer credit business serving over 3 million customers and holding ÂŁ1.3 billion in assets. The Credit & Risk Finance Team plays a vital role in understanding and driving the performance of this business, delivering financial insight that informs strategic decisions.
Responsibilities- Run and enhance financial models underpinning the Next Finance balance sheet and P&L, delivering insight into ~ÂŁ180m profit per annum.
- Use SQL and Power BI to build, automate and maintain dashboards and reporting tools.
- Prepare clear, insightful KPI analysis for senior leaders to inform key business decisions.
- Support the month‑end process, including reconciliation and analysis of balance sheets.
- Assist with forecasting and financial appraisals for new credit projects.
- Analyse debt management and supplier costs to identify efficiencies.
- Champion continuous improvement through smarter data and process solutions.
- 2+ years’ experience in a finance or finance‑related analytical role.
- CIMA/ACCA part‑qualified (or equivalent).
- Proficient in SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
- Confident in building financial models and presenting analysis to stakeholders.
- Successfully curious and keen to dig into data to uncover performance drivers.
- Detail‑oriented, collaborative, and proactive in driving change.
