About the Role

Merchandiser - Menswear. Discover an exciting opportunity to take on an integral role at Joules Head Office. The role sits in our Menswear division where you will support the Merchandising team to land the range strategy in line with the planning of the Business/Trading teams.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a seasonal range framework using sales & profit analysis and feed-in from internal and external parties to predict future opportunity.
  • Ensure the range is delivered to hit financial plans, adjusting as required as the critical path progresses and drives the team to deliver actions.
  • Monitor performance of range against the original plan through re-forecasting and take action to drive additional opportunity and minimise risk.
  • Be accountable for your department plans as well as accuracy at all times across all systems and data points.
  • Work closely with Suppliers to share seasonal strategies and plans, communicating and updating regularly on business levels.
  • Present plans to key decision makers in critical path meetings using reasoned arguments and rationale to deliver sign-off plans.
  • Be accountable for your department forecasting and resulting actions, striving for high accuracy and using all available data to inform views.
  • Along with the Buyers, be accountable for the progression of the range for your department, ensuring on-time, profitable ranges.
  • Be accountable for stocks being in the right virtual warehouse/location to maximise availability and full price sell through.
  • Overseeing trading for the department, taking product actions into current and future seasons.
  • Optimise the current season through OTB management and proactively addressing terminal stock risk, determining the most profitable solutions.
  • Hold accountability for the Department WSSI, driving business-wide visibility of all KPIs (Sales, Margin, Stock, Markdown, Intake).
  • Be accountable for ensuring markdown items are identified and prices agreed within parameters.

About You

  • Experience as a Merchandiser in a fashion business or as an experienced Assistant Merchandiser seeking a more senior role.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • High standard of commercial acumen and analytical skills with an ability to interpret facts and figures to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills with high attention to detail and the ability to plan and prioritise workload for yourself and the team.
  • Ability to adapt, at speed, to the needs of the business and the customer.
  • A proactive approach with initiative to seize opportunities and achieve better results for the business.

Where will you be working?

This is a full-time, onsite role based at ‘The Barn’ – Joules’ purpose-built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The role is typically 5 days a week onsite with discretionary flexibility to support your needs as work allows.
