Your role of Assistant Designer sits within our friendly and creative Design department.
Your Role
  • Responsible for supporting the creation and development of seasonal design ranges across womenswear, balancing creative and commercial needs to deliver against the Concept brief.
  • Working across multi-product, you can expect varied and exciting projects to work on within a Department that has full support and enthusiasm from Management in terms of the bigger picture.
  • Assist in the creation of a broad variety of styles that creatively respond to a brief, embracing a commercial eye and a think outside of the box approach.

From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you are:
  • You must be Illustrator proficient with a Textile Design Degree or equivalent.
  • You should have an outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic nature with the ability to adapt and work collaboratively within our close knit team.
  • A genuine excitement about the brand is a must (although we don\'t think this is too difficult!).
  • You must be confident in your ability to easily switch between different products as the workload is varied and at times fast paced.
  • Able to work cross-functionally and build strong rapport and relationships across the wider teams.
  • Understanding of commercial acumen, our customer and market positioning.
  • Excellent trend prediction and can translate into contemporary relevance for the Joules brand.
  • A genuine sense of resourcefulness and the ability and drive to make the role your own.

Where will you be working?
This is a full time, 12 month fixed term role based at \'The Barn\' - Joules\' purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
We value your dedication and understand the importance of balance. This role is office based and typically requires 5 days a week working onsite, as we believe this is where we make the best decisions together. We do offer discretionary flexibility to support your needs and help you navigate life\'s demands as and when your work allows.
