Finance Business Partner – Technology
Location: Head Office, Leicestershire
Salary: Competitive plus bonus
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance Team , supporting the rapidly evolving Technology function at Next.
As our technology teams undergo significant expansion and transformation, this role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a department responsible for IT infrastructure, development, and security-supporting everything from Next\’s UK and international websites to Total Platform clients such as Victoria\’s Secret, GAP, and Reiss .
With a blend of financial planning, analysis, and business partnering , this role is an ideal stepping stone for those looking to progress towards a Finance Manager position and beyond.
What You\’ll Be Doing:
Business Partnering:
- Work closely with senior management to provide decision support and cost analysis.
- Own key cost areas and build strong relationships with business partners.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to help drive cost efficiencies.
- Support operational business cases with data-driven insights.
Month-End Responsibilities:
- Account for technology team costs, ensuring accuracy in reporting.
- Complete and reconcile balance sheets.
- Provide analysis to explain performance and identify areas for improvement.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead forecasting and budgeting for technology teams.
- Analyse recruitment, deliverables, and contracts to ensure cost alignment.
- Provide financial support and challenge operational leaders to drive smart decision-making.
Process & Reporting Development:
- Improve financial processes using advanced Excel skills.
- Develop and maintain robust financial reporting tools.
- Ensure key stakeholders have the financial data they need to make informed decisions.
What We\’re Looking For:
Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large data sets.
Advanced Excel skills – confident with data manipulation, formulas, and financial modelling.
