We are a leading fashion retailer with a strong online and international presence. Total Platform at NEXT is a new business-to-business online service offering brands a full solution for eCommerce, including website, warehousing, logistics, customer care, marketing and customer data management.

About the Role

As an eCommerce Search & Discovery Assistant, you will take the lead on all things search and discovery, playing a key role in driving online performance and supporting your Business Manager on trading priorities. You will partner with our Total Platform teams and collaborate across the matrix to shape innovative strategies, unlock efficiencies and elevate team performance. With your deep understanding of search, navigation, sort order, attribution, and SEO, you’ll turn insights into action by analysing user behaviour, spotting growth opportunities and delivering weekly performance updates that power results. You’ll continuously test, learn and optimise the customer journey, monitor the competition, and push boundaries in search and discovery.

Responsibilities

  • Be a key member of both the Total Platform and Search & Discovery teams, leading projects, sharing ideas, and deputising where needed.
  • Track key KPIs including conversion, traffic, search terms, and sales; deliver weekly trading updates and insights.
  • Own PLP funnel metrics (search, navigation, offsite entry), optimising SEO and paid traffic performance.
  • Monitor and optimise PLP sort orders to maximise sales and profitability, leading A/B tests and sharing results.
  • Own site navigation and search box performance, ensuring they are seasonally relevant and drive conversion.
  • Ensure accurate product attribution, filters, and synonyms to enhance search relevance and minimise customer issues.
  • Ensure PLP imagery and branding support strong visual merchandising and drive sales.
  • Analyse search and user behaviour to identify trends, optimise the funnel, and inform decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with your Total Platform partner and Bloomreach; act as the go-to expert for search and discovery.
  • Work with SEO teams to drive on-site improvements and enhance Google rankings.
  • Deliver weekly trade updates and react quickly to customer behaviour to seize in-week opportunities.
  • Identify and fix onsite issues; champion test-and-learn approaches to improve the customer journey and boost conversion.
  • Drive personalised experiences through tailored sort orders, navigation, and targeted content to increase relevance and sales.
  • Lead ideation and solution delivery to enhance search and discovery for your platform partner.
  • Monitor competitor activity and suggest initiatives to keep the site competitive.
  • Quickly identify and resolve search-related issues to protect the customer experience.
  • Stay updated on Bloomreach capabilities and data tools to continuously drive sales and efficiency.
  • Embrace change, respond to evolving eCommerce trends, and support team agility with a can-do attitude.
