Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join the Finance Operations division at NEXT. As part of a dynamic team supporting Accounts Payable, Stock, and Banking functions, you will deliver high-quality reporting solutions using modern tools and technologies. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards with advanced DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and data modelling.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to perform in-depth data analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across departments.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Design and implement data models and databases in collaboration with finance and sales teams.
  • Create high-impact, story-driven dashboards and multi-level reporting for diverse audiences, including executive teams.
  • Implement data and reporting strategies and analyse datasets for report consolidation and data controls.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to drive data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

  • Required: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in SQL (T-SQL / S-SQL)
  • Experience in implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) & Alerts
  • Experience developing Power BI reports/dashboards using data from multiple sources
  • Experience gathering requirements to develop complex ETL processes and data models
  • Ability to design data models and databases in collaboration with finance and sales teams
  • Strong ability to create insightful, executive-ready dashboards and reporting
  • Ability to provide analytical breakdowns to enable data-driven decisions
  • Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills
  • Desirable: Advanced technical skills with SSMS or Azure DataBricks
  • Cloud platforms: Familiar with Microsoft Azure environments (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks)
  • Advanced Excel (Power Pivot, Power Query) for handling complex datasets
  • Familiarity with SSRS reporting tools
  • Interest in statistics languages such as Python or R
