Overview
At NEXT we have a great opportunity for Creative Copywriter to join our Brand Marketing team, you will focus on performance and SEO copy. You\’ll help shape how NEXT communicates across digital channels, blending strategic insight with standout copy that performs and engages in the UK and internationally.
If you love creating impactful copy with demonstrable experience writing for a wide range of brands and categories, can effectively nail messaging for key touch points and have an abundance of creative ideas, we want to hear from you.
We can offer flexible hybrid working based at the NEXT Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire.
What you\’ll be doing
- Writing high-quality, on-brand copy across digital and print touchpoints: homepage banners, emails, landing pages, paid ads, push notifications and more.
- Writing with an understanding of SEO principles, ensuring content is discoverable as well as engaging.
- Creating social-first relevant copy for social channels, focusing on relevancy and audience.
- Localising and adapting messaging for our international markets, ensuring relevance and clarity across regions.
- Crafting tailored messaging for our own-brand collections and partner brands, reflecting their unique tone of voice while aligning with the broader NEXT brands.
- Contributing to the evolution of our Tone of Voice, and helping to build practical frameworks and guidelines that support consistency.
- Collaborating cross-functionally.
About you
- 3+ years\’ experience in a retail, eCommerce, editorial or agency setting.
- A confident, versatile writer with the ability to flex tone of voice across different brands, formats and audiences.
- Strong understanding of performance-led copywriting, with experience writing for paid social, email, landing pages and product marketing.
- A creative thinker with a commercial edge
- Experience in international copywriting or localisation. Sensitive to nuance, culture and tone across different global markets.
- Comfortable balancing multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly collaborative, with strong communication skills and a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
- Proactive about learning, especially curious about how tools like AI can support or enhance your creative work.
- Familiar with the fashion and lifestyle landscape, with a keen eye for cultural trends.
