Job Description

About the role:

We’re looking for a thoughtful, imaginative and versatile Creative Copywriter to join our dynamic Brand Marketing team. As a fresh-thinking, skilled writer and clear communicator, you will work on various projects, including punchy campaign straplines, brand storytelling, features, paid ad copy, international push notifications, and emails. You will collaborate with multiple areas of the business to support copy for NEXT, its brands, eCommerce, and marketing communications.

If you love creating impactful copy with experience across a wide range of brands, can craft messaging for key touchpoints, and have abundant creative ideas, we want to hear from you.

We offer flexible hybrid working based at the NEXT Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire.

You will:

  • Write creative, clear, and engaging copy across formats: campaign headlines, homepage messaging, social captions, emails, landing pages, product storytelling, display ads, banners, app copy, and more.
  • Reflect the tone and values of each brand partner in your copy.
  • Contribute to editorial features and seasonal brand stories.
  • Maintain consistency and on-brand messaging across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and trading teams to plan and prioritize content.
  • Help shape and evolve our Tone of Voice guidelines.
  • Ensure all copy is accurate, helpful, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Meet deadlines and support timely rollout of content.

About You:

  • Experience working in a creative, fast-paced environment, such as retail, agency, or editorial.
  • Confident writing with a keen eye for grammar, spelling, and details that make copy stand out.
  • Comfortable with both brand storytelling and commercial, conversion-focused copy.
  • Collaborative by nature, enjoying working with designers, marketers, and merchandisers.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and adapting tone of voice for different brands or audiences.
  • Open to experimenting with new tools and technologies, including AI, to enhance creativity.
  • Up-to-date with fashion, lifestyle, and digital trends, reflecting them in your work.
  • A proactive, positive team player who contributes ideas and opinions.
