About The Role

From planning and managing stock intake to monitoring performance and identifying opportunities, our Merchandising Team plays a key part in bringing our collections to life throughout stores and online. Working closely with Merch Planning, the Stock Planning team uses sales insights, space analysis and customer demand to shape assortments, optimise option counts and support buying decisions – making sure the right products are in the right place at the exact right time.

You will work collaboratively across Victoria's Secret teams to optimise how products are presented in our stores, making sure every space delivers the best possible customer experience while maximising commercial performance. You'll develop, maintain and analyse product ranges by tier and grade, taking into account sales performance, space productivity, fixtures and customer profiles.

You’ll also:

  • Actively review space opportunities across our fleet seasonally (or as they arise) across width and depth of our ranges.
  • Implement innovative space planning strategies blending retail merchandising with machine learning to enhance store experience and productivity.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Retail, and Visual teams to align space with inventory levels across all of our brands working parallel with the trading calendar.
  • Analyse & prioritise risks and opportunities, and their impact on teams and the wider business.
  • Monitor key metrics like sales per sqft, cover, surplus and margin return on investment.
  • Engage in store visits with the agility to react to business needs where required.

What will success look like in this role?

2-3 months

You will create an assortment and store grading database, leveraging data and insights from multiple sources, reviewing productivity. Using AI and Google Workspace, you will build a new assortment and space planning tool for the business. From this, you can create by-store heat maps showing layouts, productivity, and capacity by product type.

4-6 months

You will set the scene for the future and begin to test and utilise the tools you have created. As the Victoria’s Secret store fleet continues to grow, you will have an input at store design, ensuring stores are built with assortment sales & capacity optimisation in mind. You will develop your relationships with partners across store design, operations, merchandising, and buying.

7-12 months

At this point you’ll be looking to embed your recommendations into future assortment strategies, partnering with planning & buying teams to integrate learnings into upfront range building, informing option width and depth.

About You

You'll be a confident analytical thinker, comfortable interpreting data, identifying trends and turning insight into action. You thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, balancing attention to detail with a commercial mindset and a collaborative approach with 2-4 years experience in a corporate environment under your belt. Previous experience in Merchandising, Branch Merchandising, Assortment Planning, or Financial/Business Analysis would be advantageous, equipping you to succeed in a role that combines independent ownership with close cross-functional collaboration using strong product intuition with AI-driven recommendations.
