About The Job
Without our Merchandisers, there would be no product in our stores and on our website. The Merchandising team ensures we have the right products, in the right place, at the right time and in the right quantities. This role is responsible for maximising the profitability of each line, working with the US team and suppliers to plan and build our product ranges.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the smooth-running day-to-day of the Merchandising department
- Forecasting sales and stock levels to achieve sales plans and margin/profit targets
- Monitor department performance and identify opportunities and risks; maximise profit by ensuring size ratios/returns reflect customer needs and are aligned with the website
- Ensure intake targets are achieved and launch product is delivered in a timely manner
- Develop understanding of product performance across channels and determine how to impact performance
- Contribute to department strategy by recognising innovative ideas and commercially beneficial solutions
- Support the development of the Merchandise Assistant through objective setting and flexible management
Your Talent
- Experience operating at Assistant Merchandiser level within fashion and apparel
- Desire to develop a career in merchandising
- Experience planning weekly sales, stock and intake management
- Confident participating in weekly trade meetings
- Strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to develop a Merchandise Assistant
- For Senior Assistant Merchandiser opportunities, demonstrate significant experience managing your own category and performance
