Working Pattern: 5 days in office, with core hours flexible between 8am-6pm.
Responsibilities
- Develop a commercially successful product range by building strong relationships with suppliers and analysing data to plan across all categories.
- Collaborate with designers and merchandisers to support the product development process.
- Utilise specialist functions like product technology and sourcing to create outstanding products.
- Work closely with the e-commerce team to optimise online sales through tone of voice, imagery, and other tools.
- Liaise with the Marketing team for campaigns and e-commerce shoots within department budgets.
- Manage the critical path for product development and selection, and swiftly identify new product opportunities.
- Lead effective team management, resource delegation, and motivation.
- Potential for weekly travel to meet licenses and build relationships to collaboratively create innovative ranges.
Your Team / About You
Your team: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Buyer with a focus on Nightwear and Loungewear. The team is experienced in Womenswear, and this role is a platform to start and nurture a fast-paced department. You will be responsible for planning and buying the product, delivering KPIs for sales, markdown and profit. Role based in Enderby, Leicester.
About You: Ability to manage multiple product ranges, understanding brand DNA, analytical and planning skills, identifying trends, and understanding market competition. Industry knowledge is essential. Proven track record in identifying opportunities to streamline the critical path and trade ranges in-season. Excellent written and verbal communication, enthusiasm, and teamwork. Ideally, an Assistant Buyer with expert knowledge in this industry.
