Role Purpose
The Retoucher is responsible for retouching imagery across all NEXT Wholly Owned brands. Working closely with the Creative and Studio teams, you will ensure the delivery of high‑quality, creative imagery that aligns with brand guidelines and is delivered within set business deadlines. Role Responsibilities
- Image Retouching & Quality Control
- Retouch imagery in line with studio guidelines and the creative requirements of individual brands.
- Ensure accurate colour correction of studio imagery against physical product or digital swatches.
- Identify poor colour balance and utilise Photoshop techniques to correct images effectively.
- Accurately follow detailed retouching notes provided by Photographers and Stylists to manage brand expectations.
- Take responsibility for identifying and highlighting any retouching or colour‑related issues.
- Workflow & Studio Collaboration
- Execute processes efficiently to ensure all daily volumes, deadlines, and deliverables are met.
- Maintain the studio folder structure and established workflow.
- Work closely with the Shoot Team to suggest alternative methods for capturing the best possible images efficiently.
- Ensure any delays are efficiently communicated to the Retouch or Studio Manager.
- Attend pre‑shoot meetings when appropriate to collate information and agree on necessary actions.
Role Requirements
- Previous image retouching experience in a fashion/ecommerce photo studio environment.
- Expert knowledge of the latest Photoshop software and image retouching practices.
- Good understanding of image capture, photography, and studio lighting.
- Creative flair with a passion for visual composition, styling trends, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Flexible approach with the ability to take creative direction and adapt to new teams.
