We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Support Workers to join our team delivering high‑quality, trauma‑informed support within adult mental health services and Ofsted‑registered supported accommodation. This is a Support Worker role, and there is no personal care required.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to live safely, build independence, and achieve positive and meaningful outcomes. You will work in a person‑centred and trauma‑informed way, building professional and trusting relationships while promoting emotional well‑being, dignity, and respect. The role involves supporting individuals with daily living skills, emotional regulation, and access to community‑based resources, including housing, education, employment, and health services. You will advocate on behalf of the people we support, respond appropriately to crisis situations, and ensure that safeguarding and risk management procedures are followed at all times.

The role involves lone working within a home environment, as well as close collaboration with a skilled and supportive team, to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where individuals can thrive. Maintaining accurate and confidential records, professional boundaries, and compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulatory standards is essential to the role. The position is offered on a rota basis, covering days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep‑in duties, as part of a 24/7 service. Typically, full‑time roles include working three shifts per week, which supports a healthy work‑life balance, with overtime and additional sleep‑ins available to increase earnings. Bank/ part‑time related roles offer flexibility to meet your needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, consistent, and high‑quality support in line with individual support plans
  • Build positive, trauma‑informed relationships that promote trust, independence, and emotional safety
  • Support individuals with daily routines, independent living skills, and emotional well‑being
  • Recognise, respond to, and report safeguarding concerns, risks, and incidents appropriately
  • Contribute to risk assessments, behaviour support strategies, and support plans
  • Support access to education, employment, training, healthcare, and community services
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records
  • Ensure the home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, external professionals, and partner agencies

Essential Requirements

  • Understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and professional boundaries
  • Ability to build positive, non‑judgemental relationships
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong emotional resilience and the ability to respond calmly in challenging situations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep‑ins

Desirable

  • Level 3 qualification in Health; however, we welcome applications from candidates with transferable life skills, relevant personal experience, and a passion to develop in this area.
