We’re looking for an experienced Director of Service Operations to join a large, complex organisation on an initial 6 month contract. The focus of this role is to stabilise and improve service operations, bring consistency where maturity varies, and set a clear direction for how services are designed, transitioned and run. You’ll be working in a scaled environment with multiple platforms, teams and delivery partners, so this suits someone comfortable operating in complexity and change.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading service operations across a large technology estate
- Assessing current maturity and putting a practical improvement plan in place
- Embedding service design, transition and management practices
- Improving service stability, quality and customer experience
- Leading internal teams and external suppliers
- Acting as a senior partner to technology and business leaders
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience at Head of or Director of Service Operations level
- Strong background improving service operations in low maturity or fast growth environments
- Hands on experience with service management and ITSM tools
- Confident, pragmatic and delivery focused
- ITIL v4 certification and experience in complex or regulated environments is useful but not essential.
This is a high impact interim role with clear ownership and a strong chance of extension.
