We are looking for an experienced Oracle Cloud Cutover Manager to join a major transformation programme delivering Oracle Cloud across the business. This role will be responsible for owning and driving the end-to-end cutover strategy, planning and execution for a complex Oracle Cloud deployment, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems into the new Oracle environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience of managing cutover activities within large-scale ERP transformation programmes, ideally across Oracle Cloud implementations, and will be confident working across business, IT, SI partners and third-party vendors to deliver a successful go-live.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage the end-to-end cutover plan for the Oracle Cloud programme, covering all business, technical and operational readiness activities.
- Develop, maintain and govern the integrated cutover strategy, plan, checklist and runbook for deployment and go-live.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across programme workstreams including business, IT, testing, data migration, infrastructure, security, support and third-party vendors.
- Define and manage cutover milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and critical path activities.
- Lead cutover planning workshops and governance meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on activities, timings, responsibilities and decision points.
- Work closely with the Programme Manager, PMO, Test Manager, Data Migration Lead, Environment Manager, Release Manager and business leads to ensure go-live readiness.
- Establish and manage entry/exit criteria for cutover rehearsal, mock cutovers and production go-live.
- Oversee and coordinate mock cutovers, dress rehearsals and deployment rehearsals, capturing lessons learned and driving plan improvements.
- Ensure all business readiness, technical readiness and operational support readiness activities are completed ahead of go-live.
- Manage the cutover command and control process during go-live, including status reporting, issue escalation, decision logging and stakeholder communications.
- Support hypercare planning and handover into BAU support teams post go-live.
- Produce regular reporting on cutover readiness, RAID items and overall go-live status for programme leadership.
- Proven experience as a Cutover Manager / Deployment Manager / Go-Live Manager on large-scale Oracle Cloud transformation programmes.
- Strong hands-on experience delivering cutover for Oracle Cloud ERP / HCM / EPM / SCM implementations.
- Demonstrable experience of managing complex integrated cutover plans across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the dependencies between testing, data migration, environments, integrations, security, business readiness and support readiness.
- Experience leading mock cutovers, rehearsals and production go-live events in enterprise environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across senior business leaders, programme teams, systems integrators and third-party partners.
- Ability to manage risk, challenge assumptions, drive accountability and maintain momentum in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Strong documentation and reporting capability, with experience producing cutover plans, runbooks, readiness assessments and status reporting.
